By registering, you can take advantage of the full range of free online organization management and fundraising tools provided by FullSteamTeam.com. This process is easy and free. Registration also allows us to pay commissions generated by your supporters. (We have to know where to send the check!)
To get started:
You will want to make sure you have a few things available and are ready to answer a few questions when you create your site. These include:
1. The Name and Address of your group or organization. 2. The Name and Address of your designated coordinator. This will be the person tasked to set up and maintain your web site. (If you are reading this, it's probably you!). This person will have the greatest control and access to all the information on the web site and will be able to change how the site looks and what features are used by your groups members. This can be changed in the future. 3. A use for funds raised through your Full Steam Team account. A personal online mall will be a part of all Full Steam Team web sites. This provides your organization with the ability to raise money through commissions for all purchases made through this online mall. You'll need to inform your members about what these funds will be used for. 4. What features you want to use on your web site. The Full Steam Team provides a wide range of features to facilitate teamwork, planning, social networking, and communication. A full listing and description can be found here. We recommend you get started with the default features, as these can be changed at any time in the future. 5. How you want your site to look. To start with, Full Steam Team provides a limited set of options to get your site up and running. These can be changed in the future, and greater flexibility is provided to you through the Full Steam Team Site Engineer once your site has been created. To start with, however, you will need to make a few choices about how your site looks. You'll need to know:
Does your organization have a logo? If so, please have it available to upload.
What do you want the Web Page to be called? This is often the name of your organization, but you may designate a different name.
Your home page may present text information, a larger picture, or both. Text information usually provides information about your oganization and its mission or activites. The picture may be a of a recent activity or a larger version of your group's logo. You will need to enter any text and be prepared to upload any image. What colors would you like for the text and background of your site?
Once you are ready, you'll take the following steps:
Step 1: Create an account for your organization by providing some basic information and designating a coordinator. Step 2: Use our on-line tools to select the features and design of your Web Site. Step 3: If you desire, you may follow a brief tutorial explaing the use of your new site. Step 4: Your site is ready. Add and invite members to your organization's new Web Site. Step 5: Use these new tools to help organize and communicate with your membership, coordinate events and raise funds for your group.
